1) MEDICAL OFFICERS / REGISTRARS / ASSOCIATE CONSULTANTS / CONSULTANTS
(PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME)

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient care of patients at St. Luke's Hospital or home medical services

Work with a team of generalist Doctors with post graduate training in family and geriatric medicine to focus on the holistic management of patients
Participate in relevant research
Requirements

Basic medical degree and registered to practice in Singapore

Postgraduate exposure to geriatric medicine will be an advantage
Committed and interested in the care of older persons and those with multiple medical co-morbidities including cardiovascular, endocrine and neuro degenerative disease like cerebrovascular accidents and parkinson's
 
2) SENIOR NURSE MANAGER / NURSE MANAGER

Responsibilities
Plan and direct daily operational activities in the wards
Deploy and supervise nursing personnel, as well as provide in-service training for nursing and ancillary staff
Supervise the maintenance of nursing records, medical treatments and related services
Requirements
Registered Nurse with relevant post-basic Nursing qualifications, preferably with ward administration and management experience
Able to work 2 rotating shifts
(Those with relevant years of experience may be considered for a senior position)
 

3) SENIOR MANAGER, CORPORATE & COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with the following responsibilities:

Fund-Raising:

• Donors’ management, engagement and cultivation for St Luke’s Hospital (SLH) & St Luke’s Eldercare (SLEC).
• Events planning at corporate and community levels.
Communications & Volunteerism:

• Branding to raise and grow the corporate profile & awareness of SLH & SLEC.
• Volunteers’ management.
• Internal and external communications.
Requirements

At least 8 years’ working experience in corporate communications, fund-raising and public relations preferably in a voluntary welfare organisation.

Experience in information architecture will be an added advantage.
Strong in planning and execution with the ability to drive processes and delivery.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the passion to excel.
 
4) CLINICAL INSTRUCTORS

Responsibilities
Implement induction programmes for new nursing staff
Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing clinical and classroom training programmes; as well as supervision and coaching of nursing staff in wards
Requirements
Registered with Singapore Nursing Board, preferably with relevant training and coaching certificates

Able to work 2 rotating shifts

 
5) STAFF NURSES (INPATIENT)

Responsibilities
Plan and provide nursing care to meet the patients' needs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patients, treatments and conditions
Assist in supervision of junior nurses and ancillary staff
Ensure availability of ward stock
Requirements
Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
Minimum 1 year’s ward experience
Able to work 2 or 3 rotating shifts
 

6) PHLEBOTOMIST (PART-TIME)

Responsibilities

Responsible for the skillful, timely, accurate and sufficient collection of blood specimens from patients as required for clinical tests, using various techniques such as venipuncture, capillary collection and/or blood culture specimen collection.

Responsible for the performance of assigned section and inventory management of supplies utilized by the phlebotomy
Requirements

Must possess a valid Phlebotomy certificate.

Candidates with at least 2 years hands-on experience in hospital or a similar work environment will be an added advantage.
Comfortable to work with mandarin dialects speaking patients, family members and public.
Able to work in a fast paced environment.
 

7) EXECUTIVE, NURSING ADMINISTRATION

Responsibilities

You will provide administrative support to the Nursing Management ultimately gearing towards delivering quality and appropriate care for patients. You will assist in career development initiatives and projects/committees/workgroups/taskforces pertaining to the Nursing Division. You will also coordinate and work with relevant parties in organising events, preparation of minutes, presentations, analyse data and maintenance of general records (eg. bi-weekly duty roster, staff movement chart, stationery stock, training, annual leave, transport claims, etc). You are the point of contact for matters pertaining to the department. You are required to perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Business Management or equivalent.

2 years of relevant experience would be preferred.
Must be PC literate and proficient in MS Office (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).
Able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Meticulous with good organisation and coordination skills.
Able to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
Possess a pro-active work attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills .
Experience in healthcare environment will be an added advantage.
 
8) OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS / PHYSIOTHERAPISTS / SPEECH THERAPISTS

Responsibilities
Provide quality geriatric occupational therapy / physiotherapy / speech therapy to patients during office hours
Participate in patients’ case consultations and meetings
Supervise therapy assistants and provide in-service education for staff and caregivers
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy / Master in Speech Therapy with interest in working with the elderly
Those with relevant experience may be considered for senior position
 
9) MEDICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Responsibilities
Perform psycho-social and financial assessments and provide appropriate assistance to patients
Provide casework and counseling services to patients and their families
Participate in family conferences with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team
Liaise with relevant organizations for collaboration and networking in the care of the elderly
Collaborate and network with relevant organizations for the care of the patients and their families
Attend to the social needs of destitute patients
Conduct groupwork with the elderly patients or their caregivers
Requirements
Degree in Social Work (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
Must have an interest to work with the elderly in a hospital environment
Ability to communicate in vernacular languages is an asset
 
10) ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN

Responsibilities
Assist the Chaplain in the following:
Provide pastoral care and counseling for patients and families, staff and volunteers where appropriate
Plan and implement Christian programmes
Conduct worship services for patients and staff
Build and coordinate a team of volunteer pastoral care givers
Requirements
A recognized pastor or mature Christian worker, preferably over 30 years of age, with Theological training and experience in pastoral care and counseling
Interest in ministering to the elderly
Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin
Conversant in Chinese dialects such as Hokkien, Cantonese
Able to work independently
Able to work with the interdisciplinary team
 

11) ENROLLED NURSES (INPATIENT)

Responsibilities

Assist the Nurse Manager/ Staff Nurse at the wards to provide competent nursing care to meet the needs of patients.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year’s ward experience

Able to work 3 rotating shifts
 
12) THERAPY ASSISTANTS (TEMP-TO-PERM)

Responsibilities
Assist the Therapists in providing therapy treatments (including lifting, transferring and transporting patients)
Perform housekeeping duties in the gym
Requirements
GCE ‘N’ level or above, preferably with some basic experience in caring for the elderly sick
Physically fit
