In recognition of his leadership and contributions to family medicine education, A/Prof Tan Boon Yeow, CEO of St Luke’s Hospital, was awarded the Distinguished Educators’ Award from the College of Family Physicians Singapore on 14 May.
Dr Grace Chiang, an Associate Consultant at St Luke’s Hospital, received the Singapore Family Physician (SFP) Journal Reviewer Award (Bronze). The award recognises excellence, quality and timeliness in reviewing SFP articles.
In light of Singapore’s rapidly ageing population, the need for family physicians will continue to grow. Family physicians at St Luke’s Hospital treat the whole person, managing a range of conditions from osteoporosis, stroke, geriatric syndromes and chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
