A/Prof Tan Boon Yeow Awarded Supertasking Hero Award and Super Committed Hero Award

Everyone has only 24 hours a day, yet some commit themselves to maximise their day to contribute more.

A/Prof Tan Boon Yeow, CEO, St Luke’s Hospital, was awarded the Supertasking Hero Award and the Super Committed Hero Award for achieving 27 committee feats over the past 10 years. He has served in multiple roles, including the ILTC Quality Festival Organising Committee, the Medical Advisory Board, the National Care Assessment Framework Steering Committee, the Strategic Advisory Committee for Quality Improvement for the ILTC Sector, as well as the Research and Innovation Committee.

For his contribution to the sector beyond his hospital work, A/Prof Tan received his award at the AIC Community Care Day celebrations 2021 held on 25 October 2021.

Humbled by the award, A/Prof Tan shared that he is blessed to be able to work alongside partners who are striving to change and improve community care. Sharing an inspirational quote that he saw in the Singapore Botanic Gardens: “A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in” aptly describe the collective work done for the intermediate and long-term care (ILTC) sector.
