We seek to enrich the lives of patients through quality care and also work with other healthcare institutions and students to participate in research and education. Examples:
Formed collaborations with educational institutions and professional academic bodies including College of Family Physicians, Nanyang Polytechnic, National University of Singapore, National University Health System and Trinity Theological College for the training of healthcare and other students. Training is delivered in formats such as attachments, workshops and lectures, from certificate/diploma to postgraduate levels. Some staff hold adjunct academic positions in local universities.
Organised conferences and clinical training such as neuro-development treatment training and Wound Conference. We reached a milestone when St Luke’s Hospital organised the 10th Wound Conference in 2016. Our rehabilitation team looks at innovative ways to help patients, and works with industry partners to trial new rehabilitation equipment.
Active in conferences, presenting posters and oral presentations on topics such as dementia care, post-discharge care, balance training and clinical quality.
St Luke’s Hospital was appointed by Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) as a Lead Training Provider for the community sector, to build up the capabilities of healthcare professionals in Singapore to support the community care sector. View our courses here.
