A/Prof Tan Boon Yeow’s experience spans from acute to community-based hospital care and primary care. His passion lies in the integration of care across diverse settings including preventive realm, focusing on population health and improving connectivity between primary, intermediate and acute care that can best achieve seamless care and good health outcomes for our population.

A/Prof Tan is also an educator at heart and is actively involved in mentoring the younger clinicians. His contributions have been recognised through the following awards:

• National Outstanding Clinician Educator Award by the Ministry of Health in 2019
• Albert & Mary Lim Award, the highest accolade bestowed by the College of Family Physicians Singapore in 2019
• Distinguished Educators’ Award by the College of Family Physicians Singapore in 2022

In addition, A/Prof Tan has served in multiple roles in the community care sector and was awarded the Supertasking Hero Award and the Super Committed Hero Award by the Agency for Integrated Care in 2021.
