STAFF, OTHER PATIENTS TEST NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19
After one patient of St Luke’s Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 on 6 May 2020, other patients and staff in the affected ward were swabbed. All these other patients and staff have tested negative.
To date, only one patient, who was tested as a precaution, has tested positive. The hospital has implemented multiple safety measures including separation of staff into zones to prevent cross infection, safe distancing, and daily temperature taking including those not involved in patient care. Staff and other workers entering the wards such as cleaners wear surgical masks. Hospital visits by patients’ families were restricted too.
We will continue to ensure the well-being of patients, staff and partners.
