UPDATE ON COVID-19 CLUSTER IN ST LUKE'S HOSPITAL
Through our regular surveillance testing, 20 patients and staff within one ward have tested positive for COVID-19 as of 30 Oct 2021.
The positive cases have since been transferred to acute hospitals or isolated for further management or treatment.
Patients and caregivers who were in close contact of the affected cases have already been notified. In adherence to safety measures, swab tests and deep area cleaning were implemented.
Other wards and clinical services remain unaffected. The hospital has been and will continue to take precautions and follow strict infection control measures according to MOH guidelines. Our business continuity plans are in place since early 2020, with split team operations and no cross deployment, to ensure minimal disruption to our normal operations.
We will continue to work closely with MOH to monitor the situation to ensure the well-being of our employees, inpatients and outpatients.
