Healthcare Institutions Collaboration & Partnerships

We work actively with various healthcare institutions and students to collaborate in research and education. We believe that evidence-based research can impact clinical care and set about improvements to current models of care.

Over the years, we have formed valuable partnerships with various educational institutions and professional academic bodies, including the College of Family Physicians, Nanyang Polytechnic, National University of Singapore, National University Health System and Trinity Theological College for the training of healthcare professionals and other students. Training is delivered through formats such as attachments, workshops and lectures for students from Institutes of Higher Learning. Some of our staff also hold adjunct academic positions in local universities. We provide attachment opportunities, mentorship guidance for research projects undertaken by undergraduate students. We do not provide Diploma to postgraduate certificates. We provide training opportunities for students from the Institutes of Higher Learning.

Our rehabilitation team constantly looks at innovative ways to help patients and works with industry partners to trial new rehabilitation equipment.

Conferences

We regularly organise conferences such as the annual St Luke’s Hospital Wound Conference. We reached a milestone in 2016 when we organised the 10th Wound Conference.

St Luke’s Hospital is also active in the conference circuit, presenting research materials through posters and oral presentations on topics such as dementia care, post-discharge care, balance training and clinical quality.
