Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Certification
What is LPA?
The LPA is a legal document which allows a Donor (who is at least 21 years of age) to appoint one or more Donee(s) to make decisions and act on his/her behalf if he/she loses mental capacity one day, in broad areas of personal welfare and property & affairs matters.
Why Set Up a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?
- Safeguard your well-being: Appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to do so due to illness, accident, or loss of mental capacity.
- Peace of mind for all: Having arrangements in place offers a peace of mind to you and your family in the event of an unexpected medical situation.
- Reduce stress for loved ones: Spare your family the emotional, financial, and administrative burden of applying for court-appointed deputyship in Singapore.
Plan early for peace of mind — an LPA is simple, affordable, and can be updated anytime.
