Mr S Dhanabalan currently sits on the Council of Presidential Advisors and is a permanent member of the Presidential Council for Minority Rights. He is also the Chairman of Mandai Safari Park Holdings. He is a banker and former politician who served in various ministries, notably foreign affairs and national development. After his retirement from politics, he was Chairman for a few large corporations including Temasek Holdings (1996 to 2013) and DBS Group Holdings (1999 to 2005). He served as president of the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) from 1996 to 2002.
