St Luke's Hospital’s Community Inclusive Choir
St Luke’s Hospital’s Community Inclusive Choir is a community choir programme lead by credentialed music therapists. The 12-week programme aims to reduce social isolation and improve the quality of life for individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia, while offering a meaningful opportunity for PLWDs and their caregivers to connect through music.

Programme Objectives and Benefits
Unlike traditional choirs, the focus is on achieving non-musical goals such as improving socio-emotional skills, communication, and quality of life. With a trained and credentialed music therapist, necessary adjustments and modifications can be made to foster an inclusive, success-oriented environment that promotes social interaction and cohesion.

Who
- Individuals living with MCI; mild or moderate dementia
- Individuals who enjoy social singing in a group, no background in music required
- Caregivers are required to be present for all sessions, and participation is welcome
