BrainUP is a personalised programme that offers cognitive training for individuals experiencing mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Through assessment, goal-setting, and tailored interventions—including cognitive training and practical strategies—BrainUP helps improve mental function, maintain independence, and manage daily activities effectively.
Key Features of MCI:
- Noticeable cognitive decline beyond normal aging
- Preserved independence in daily activities
Various causes can result in MCI, including neurodegenerative and vascular diseases, head injuries, and sleep disorders.
Who Can Benefit?
- Memory loss or frequent forgetfulness
- Slow in thinking or mental processing
- Some difficulty with problem-solving or decision-making
- Manages daily activities independently, but might require more effort or compensatory strategies like making a budget
BrainUP Programme Involves:
1. Assessment
2. Goal Setting
3. Intervention Planning
Based on your goals, we will create a therapy plan tailored to your needs. This may include:
- Remedial training to help improve cognitive skills
- Compensatory strategies to include use of memory aids or planners
- Task-specific training to practise everyday activities in real-life situations
4. Implementation
5. Evaluation
