The Energy of Life
Artist Name: BAEK MIN

A ginkgo tree has a strong vitality that can live for over a thousand years. Growing up in Korea, I have strong memories of the yellow ginkgo trees I would see every fall. It was an intense life energy like the sun. I hope that people will feel the energy of life through this ginkgo tree painting.

My Help
Artist Name: KELVIN TEO

This scene was from my trip to the Rockies, where I stood, subdued by the sheer grandeur of nature. I was ill at that time and felt so small witnessing the majestic mountains. A verse came up in my mind, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1-2.

This became my inspiration that God is the one who created these mountains and no illness will be too difficult for Him. I hope this painting will bring hope and a remembrance of God's Word like it did for me.

The tranquillity of the resting animal symbolises the love and comfort that come from a safe and nurturing environment. The compassion, dedication and love from the caregiver often provide a sense of security and peace, akin to the calmness the animal enjoys during rest.
